"Everyone is welcome here...except ICE" signs on vacant Bethesda storefront declare

"Everyone is welcome here...except ICE," declare signs slapped onto a vacant storefront in downtown Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle neighborhood. Other signs on the same former restaurant space at 7929 Norfolk Avenue aim to notify illegal immigrants of their rights when confronted by U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement agents. "We have the right to deny I.C.E. access to private areas without a judicial warrant," the welcome notice adds. The papers have the logo of the Immigrant Legal Resource Center's "Know Your Rights" campaign on them. It is not immediately clear if the sign posters had permission from the property owner to stick these on here.

How many of the individuals who posted the sign can actually name 280 different countries...? Exactly. #zero

“ There are 195 countries in the world. This includes the 193 member states of the United Nations, plus two non-member observer states: the Holy See (Vatican City) and Palestine.” Cheers!

So then, elrich inflates his numbers by making up countries & cultures thus proving my point!

They brought these people into this country in violation of the democratically legislated laws passed by Congress and against the wishes of a majority of US citizens. I guess we know who the real threats to democracy are.

Your comment makes little sense. So many did, and have been following, various Federal programs authorizing their entry. Got it you don’t like it.

Liberals are triggered, (and violent), as the laws are black & white and cry me a river once the deportation order has been signed. The majority is not what 12:43 thinks it is. Check out who the majority is on immigration on your second favorite network CNN.

"*They* brought these people into this country" (emphasis mine.) Come again? To which "They" do you refer? Are you fantasizing a modern-day Underground Railroad, the role of Harriet Tubman played variously by the Clintons, Obamas, Nancy Pelosi, et al. in this evening's performance?

“They” are the leftists who were deciding policy while Biden was eating his oatmeal. Policy being ignoring immigration laws and throwing the borders open for whomever wanted to walk over. But you know that you’re just being cute.

....and often the illegals just assume we all here are sympathetic to their 'plight. ' Just yesterday a panhandling Hispanic was holding a sign that read 'You treat your dogs better than us.'

I responded 'Our dogs get their shots.'

  16. Just remember folks, the MoCo Council didn't vote themselves in, we did. That's a collective we obviously. I've never, ever voted for a single member of this corrupt cabal. More broadly, Jazzy Crockett, Omar and all these total loons in office are doing what they're doing and sleeping fine at night. Again, the voters put them there. Don't want them? Vote them out. Marc Elrich was just reelected to another 4 year term. You understand that, right?

Many hard working people, ahem, out of the county, are helping our farmers — about 40 percent of farm workers are undocumented.
“In 2020–22, 32 percent of crop farmworkers were U.S. born, 7 percent were immigrants who had obtained U.S. citizenship, 19 percent were other authorized immigrants (primarily permanent residents or green-card holders), and the remaining 42 percent held no work authorization.”

By 8:44's logic, we should accept the bad ones because we need the good ones. Tell that to the victims families who would still be here if Biden didn't open the floodgates.
