A unique coffee shop in Washington, D.C. will soon open a Bethesda cafe. Dua DC Coffee at 923 15th Street NW opened six years ago as the first Indonesian specialty coffee shop in the nation's capital. The woman-owned business is now expanding to the Woodmont Triangle in downtown Bethesda. Dua DC Coffee will be located in the ground floor of the 4909 Auburn apartments, at 4909 Auburn Avenue. The interior fit-out for the cafe is expected to begin before the end of the year.
Coffee drinks at Dua DC Coffee employ single-origin beans from the different islands of Indonesia. Their signature beverages include the Aren Latte, the Oat Pandan Cold Brew, and the Kopi Susu Latte. You can also purchase bags of their Indonesian coffee beans, all of which are sourced directly from sustainable farms in Indonesia. Dua DC Coffee joins The Bunny Hive as the second ground floor retail tenant at the 4909 Auburn development. Two retail spaces remain available for lease.

Coffee shops, French cafes and pizza joints.
ReplyDeleteAnd JAC being miserable.
Delete"High Tech" essentials.
DeleteAt least it's not another moribund retail bank branch.
Delete5:45 - Desirous of a variety of offerings more like it. How many pizza, French themed and coffee places are there in Bethesda? Ok, how about banks? There are banks opening all the time so add them to the list if you want. Who even does retail banking anymore? Banks and coffee that's an idea. Capital One has that problem solved for us. Look for them to open one soon.
ReplyDeleteThe geriatric population that can afford the HOA fees and home prices downtown are more likely to do/prefer retail banking in-person. They are also asleep before the nightime economy begins.
DeleteBethesda is morphing into an unaffordable assisted living and retirement hub.

DeleteNeed an Irish Pub still...
ReplyDeleteI don't even drink anymore and I am in total agreement with an Irish Pub if only for the music!
Delete6:14am Agreed! Every town needs one.
ReplyDeleteJFC enough with the coffee shops already. There are about a dozen now in a five minute walking radius.
ReplyDeleteThank God! It’s about damn time. I am so tired of buying coffee from coffee shops that are not owned by women. This is, somehow, very, very meaningful and important.
