Isn’t that entire block being demolished and redeveloped next year?
ReplyDeleteAll these places are on borrowed time. Every spot on that side of Wisc Ave will be bulldozed in a relatively short period of time including any open county lot of which I believe there are two. More mixed-use, 8-10 story buildings are on the way. Incredible that they can fill those apartments at 250k and more. That immediate area still has some old Bethesda charm but not for long.
ReplyDeleteThose diagonal doorways were popular in the 1950s. I don’t see what advantage they offer.
ReplyDeleteThat was my Yelp comment! Yay! Anyway, I kinda question the buisness strategy of opening a place almost identical to a place that just closed in the same location, but I hope they do well. I've been in there a handful of times, and it's always been empty, and the owner has a forlorn look on his face, so hopefully things improve there.
