Gas prices at "last gas" before Beltway on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda

Here's a look at the current gas prices at the Exxon station at 7975 Old Georgetown Road in downtown Bethesda. This is the "last gas" for drivers heading toward the Capital Beltway interchange on Old Georgetown leaving downtown Bethesda. As of last night, Regular is about to hit $5.00 at $4.99 and 9/10. Extra and Supreme have already surged past the five dollar mark at $5.59 and $5.99, respectively. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

That station always has the highest prices. Isn’t the Exxon in Wisconsin near Battery also the “last exit” before the beltway with reasonable prices? Same with that Giant one on Connecticut.

An fyi, on 4/27/2026, the Exxon a ways up on Old Georgetown (adjacent to the shopping center with Balducci's) had regular gas (octane level of 87) at $4.89 per gallon. Pretty close to the price at the station in Robert's post.

The downtown Bethesda gas stations (and there used to be quite a few!!) have always had very high prices.

Does anyone know the price at the Exxon on Wisconsin mentioned by 5:49 PM (last station going north toward NIH and 270/495)?

Anyone gullible enough to go to that place deserves the fleecing they will invariably receive.

I'm still putting up the OBiden stickers that say "I did this!" Because he (and Obama) really did do it! We will pay fir their ineptitude (read: plan) for years, if not now forever.

Really not true. But of course you know that.

    3. The only serious damage caused by Biden's "ineptitude" was Trump's re-election. That was an unnatural disaster.

10:48 & 10:57 can't even remember what they had for breakfast this morning let alone history more than two and half years ago.

    5. @12:24 please explain for the class how Obama (last day in office January 20, 2017) and Biden (last day in office January 20, 2025) are to blame for the spike in oil prices in 2026 that occurred after Trump bombed Iran, causing Iran to retaliate by closing the Strait of Hormuz and striking oil infrastructure in the Middle East. I have my popcorn ready.

2:28 couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. Explaining facts that lie outside of their bias is wasted on a mind that no matter what they are won't be counted in the narrow little mind that was grifted with taxpayer dollars. Such a waste.

By not only 'kicking the can down the road' but by facilitating the Iranians (remember Susan Rice, perhaps?) Obama and feckless Biden fed into Iran's boldness and missile development which we are paying for now. It's obvious to all except the 20 percent.

Funny how 10:48 cites a misunderstanding of basic economics. Talk about gaslighting! The left has known track record for positing theories that only seem to work and only in a vacuum. When you apply your taxpayer funded education to the real world, you'll find that the blue state champions are losing people to economic migration.

But what can we expect from a party that worship people who think Deloitte is dumping chemicals and references that historical time of World War Eleven.

So glad we have the asinine Elrich bike lanes on Old Georgetown so folks can waste gas in traffic.

And the 'Elrich Speed Humps" strategically located throughout the county to impede traffic and accelerate wear and tear of our vehicles.

A better story would be why have the prices at this gas station always been higher than every other station in the area.

If you eat a burrito before hitting the beltway after passing that fillin' station it's not even close to being the "last gas...."
