Signature Cigars closes in Bethesda

Signature Cigars
has closed at 4919 Cordell Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The shop's last day was Sunday, and there is already a for-lease sign in the window. Cigar aficionados seeking the traditional shopping experience still have the nearby Capitol Cigar & Tobacco at 4916 Del Ray Avenue. But the loss of another longtime Bethesda business still stings, as the moribund Montgomery County economy claims another victim. But, hell, let's go ahead and vote for the same people who did this to us again! "Smarter than the average bear!"

  2. Never like to see a small business close. But those guys were arrogant and less than friendly. I was wrongfully accused of stealing once leaving their Rockville store. Never went to either location again. They never apologized nor attempted to right their wrong. They won't be that missed. Davidus in White Flint is better.

Hmmm, now that's very surprising as I always see the regular heavy hitters in and around that joint.

Every dude I ever saw looking out their front window had the same expression:
    "That's right, I am a MANLY man."

smoking cigars causes cancer. Cigar smoke contains many of the same toxic and cancer-causing chemicals as cigarette smoke. Even though many cigar smokers do not inhale, they remain at a high risk for several specific types of cancer

    1. 7:28 - First of all, an occasional anything isn't harmful. Second, why not talk about the other legal product which is extremely harmful and that's marijuana? Biggest scam ever. That's about over thing, tons of money. Cigars in moderation are not an issue.

Yeah, just a few drinks, in moderation, before I drive home won’t hurt anyone. Smoking anything is stupid and dangerous for everyone, all the time.

Been on the Red Line lately? Idiots allowing slackers to smoke weed at almost every station and reeking in most of the cars.
