Ruta Ukrainian restaurant closed in Bethesda
Ruta, the Ukrainian restaurant located at 4862 Cordell Avenue in downtown Bethesda, was closed yesterday. A sign in the window informs prospective diners that the establishment is "currently closed." But no explanation of the reason for the closure is provided. No reopening date is mentioned, either. Ruta opened here in August of 2024.

And folks criticized my comments about this place. Happy to be proven wrong but wasn't on this one. Wasn't hard to predict.
ReplyDeleteYou got criticized for, as usual, taking your shot before the establishment even opened its doors.
Deletecolor me surprised.
ReplyDeleteYour the restaurant whisperer and our hero.
DeleteI was told by a highly reliable source that a truck came by yesterday and removed all of the equipment inside. Seems like this is a permanent closure.
ReplyDeleteMy dad loved borscht. He's been dead for 32 years.
ReplyDeletetough business restaurant
ReplyDeleteEven when it first opened people did not try it. It seems it never took off.
