They're only placed at the entrances to the private residential garage doors.

I bet the bumps will quietly be switched out one night. Front wheels up, front wheels down, rear wheels up, rear wheels down.
One speed bump, 2 times a day, five days a week, that's 40 extra hits a week.

Cumulative. Your steering needs alignment more often, your suspension system will wear out sooner, as will your brakes. Immediate damage usually comes from damage to the exhaust system.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28521945.post-88197997868058846852016-07-11T06:45:03.582-07:002016-07-11T06:45:03.582-07:00I have driven through Woodmont garage and have not...I have driven through Woodmont garage and have not had a problem. The layout of the garage with long straight sections encourages speeding. In this case applaud the county for actually thinking with safety in mind, especially in an area with a lot of children and older people.

If we criticize the county for their failures we need to congratulate them for their successes, but I have not seen any of the latter on this website. People already fly around corners in all the garages in this county.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28521945.post-11234234361604947452016-07-11T04:26:10.576-07:002016-07-11T04:26:10.576-07:0010:55: Every vehicle that has driven over it. Enter that elevator -- it still has the old Hecht's (or was it Woodie's?) markings on it.

Now for a bigger issue, walk into that garage. It's downright dangerous for pedestrians. THe first crosswalk is with two large walls on either side, giving drivers no visibility. The recently installed mirrors but it's hard for a driver to see a person (especially children) with that.

Then look at the other crosswalks in that area. They connect curbs (good) but there are no curb ramps (bad). So if you have a wheelchair or a baby stroller, you can't use the crosswalks anyway and are forced to cross at a non-crosswalk section.

I reported this on Twitter to mall management months ago and no response. Where to next? MC311 for an ADA violation perhaps?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
