Montgomery County police have arrested a suspect in the May 14, 2026 fatal shooting of a hotel guest outside of the North Bethesda Marriott Hotel and Conference Center at 5701 Marinelli Road in Rockville. Terrance Brainell Williams, 41, has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Quentin Tyrone Davis. Police initially had reason to suspect the alleged shooter had fled on foot to the nearby White Flint Metro station. But after reviewing surveillance video, they identified a person seen walking from a car toward the hotel just prior to the shooting. That same person was seen returning to the vehicle immediately after the shooting, and driving away.
Detectives allege that individual is Williams. They also assert that Williams and Davis knew each other prior to the shooting. Williams is being held at the County jail pending a bond hearing.

Unfortunately, MD has no death penalty and has "I see no evil" McCarthy as gatekeeper.

DeleteSeems like the people who said it was a targeted hit and not a random act of crime were right.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a real shame that professional law enforcement authorities don't regularly consult the comments on this blog to gather tidbits of wisdom and insight.
Delete"professional law enforcement authorities" That's a contradiction of terms.
Delete10:23 - The professionals stick with real comedians when they want a good laugh, not you walk-on amateurs.
DeleteMCPD will get their perp and no Joe on the street needs to stick their rudder nose in via a scanner, or whine profusely about no report of what the hell is taking so long. Pay your damned taxes and STFU!
ReplyDeleteRobert: Please let us know the bond amount once he's ultimately released by a judge who has toxic empathy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ReplyDeleteYou and all your buddies would have to sell your Quonset huts to put up the bail.
Delete7:33 - don't be so sure, it IS MoCo, after all.
DeleteLadies and gentlemen today we have that rare event a triple play. North Bethesda v Rockville v White Flint. Old v new v uncharted. Epic.
ReplyDeleteWe need a total and complete moratorium on gang activity
ReplyDeleteBring in the UN peacekeepers.
Delete3:29 - You just offended the National Guard and all their useful skills.
DeleteWe all know why he targeted who he did and not a judge... --- Good job detectives, solid work.
ReplyDeleteGlad they got who they think did it. Yes, good job
ReplyDeleteThey knew each other from prison and apparently had some beef. Great!
ReplyDeleteMoCo man
ReplyDeleteWell, well, it seems I was right: it was targeted violence and not favela-like random street crime.
ReplyDeleteLuckily no innocent bystander shot in the line of fire.
Delete3:30 - Next time make yourself available Daffy Duck.
Delete2:34, you were right in calling this an outlier from the trend. This doesn't appear to be representative of opportunistic crime by one already armed nor an act of uncontrolled aggression more typical of our historic street crime.
ReplyDeleteThere is no “White Flint Station”.
ReplyDeleteNo, but there is a huge White Flint Boulder.
DeleteOh but there is, just not what you think.
