Call Your Mother Deli's newest location at 4828 St. Elmo Avenue in downtown Bethesda has an opening date. The deli is now set to debut on August 3, 2026. They are currently hiring staff. As you can see, signage has been "installed" over the storefront; it's actually a painted logo illuminated by light fixtures above it.
That’s got to be the tackiest signage in Bethesda! That type of wall mounted lighting creates a very un-even form of lighting with lots of hot spots and dark areas. Perhaps they should have Called Their Signage Designer.

DeleteIt should not have taken that long to open. And some snarky person here jumped all over my comment initially on this. Meanwhile, Pop Up Bagel set its opening for just days after this place. Pop Up started it's construction much later and is opening almost the same time. What gives? Despite all that, and their ugly sign, this will be good for Bethesda. Bethesda Bagel is an institution but stinks. Call Your Mother is very good. Pop Up is a pass.
