WESTBARD STARBUCKS RENOVATIONS SHORTEN HOURS THIS WEEK (PHOTOS) - WESTWOOD SHOPPING CENTER - BETHESDA

Customers arriving at Starbucks in the Westwood Shopping Center, on Westbard Avenue in Bethesda, found the store closed Sunday.

Starbucks reopened this morning, but will be operating reduced hours today, and during the coming days. See the photo below for the hours each day.

Last evening, a construction crew was working furiously inside. Furniture was covered in clear plastic, suggesting that painting/sanding/sawing was planned.

The number of work trucks and vans parked out front exceeded the number of trucks utilized for the recent renovation of the entire Giant supermarket around the corner, suggesting the work is extensive.

If you need Starbucks at other times of the day:

There is a Starbucks in the Shops at Sumner Place shopping center nearby - take Westbard to Massachusetts, make a right on Massachusetts, a left onto Sangamore Road just past the Glen Echo Volunteer Fire Department, a left onto Sentinel Drive, and a right into the shopping center. Starbucks will be straight ahead, next to Bethesda Market, Simon Says Yoga, and Weight Watchers.

Stay tuned for updates about the Westbard store.
