Panera Bread is surprising most people (but not readers of this blog, who have been witnessing the rapid construction process) by opening its new downtown Bethesda location a month ahead of schedule. The new Panera bakery, at 7201 Wisconsin Avenue, will open Wednesday, December 4, at 6:00 AM.
That means you could be having the sandwich pictured below for breakfast tomorrow. Panera Bread could be a new alternative hangout to Starbucks in downtown Bethesda.
