BETHESDA POWER OUTAGES UPDATE

Many Bethesda residents are currently without power, as high winds continue to blow through the area.

Outages in the vicinity of Burning Tree Road, and in 3 neighborhoods close to the Beltway along the River Road corridor, have denied electricity to 432 homes. Pepco currently hopes to restore those customers' power in the 1:00-3:00 AM range overnight.

Other smaller outages are apparently going to take longer to fix near River Road, and Huntington Parkway, where Pepco is citing estimates of 3:00 AM - 10:00 AM Thursday morning for restoration of power. Another outage east of Fernwood Road falls into that category, as well.

Near downtown Bethesda, 12 homes in Edgemoor are without power, and Pepco predicts a 3:00 AM restoration time there.

54 customers are without power west of Westlake Drive, near Cabin John Regional Park. Pepco says they may be restored by 6:00 AM.

@HSCGentleman reports on Twitter that a power line is down on Chesire Drive in Bethesda.

High winds are expected to continue through 11:00 AM Thursday morning.
