7900 Wisconsin will span the block between Wisconsin and Woodmont, and will be adjacent to the Fairmont Plaza property.
Over the last few months, Autodentz appeared to be used as a storage facility, perhaps for equipment related to the other JBG project nearby at 7770 Norfolk Avenue. At one point, it appeared a renovation was underway, with drywall and insulation. But that wouldn't make sense if it is going to be demolished.
JBG requested demolition permits for the other properties related to 7900 Wisconsin about 2 weeks ago. There is no timetable for when the actual demolitions would begin. One current Wisconsin Avenue tenant has asserted it is staying in place until 2019, which should make for some fascinating developments in the coming months.

Autodentz, the adjacent garage and other properties on that side of woodmont are eyesores and should be demolished ASAP.
ReplyDeleteParking in Bethesda is more of a sight for sore eyes.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the former Maytag now rug store on the other side of the block on Wisconsin? Is that not marked for historic preservation? It must date from the 50s or earlier.
