DANCE BETHESDA SPACE LISTED FOR LEASE

The second-story studio of Dance Bethesda at 8227 Woodmont Avenue is currently listed For Lease by the landlord. Dance Bethesda is still operating, and there is no indication it will be closing soon. But should it eventually be displaced by a new tenant, it would represent the end of an era at that corner.

For 4 decades, the studio was operated as an Arthur Murray dance studio, and nearly as much of a fixture on that block as the legendary Yacht Club of Bethesda. A few years ago, the studio was taken over, and revitalized by Dance Bethesda. 

The building owner is suggesting the 1800 SF space would be ideal for a fitness studio, a category currently exploding in downtown Bethesda. Prominent windows that draw attention from passersby and drivers would certainly provide upside to any business. The new asking lease rate is $25 per square foot.

Other tenants in 8227 Woodmont include The Shop Salon, Woodmont Deli, and Woodmont Market.
