Wow, work has really sped up at the future Noodles & Company on Elm Street in downtown Bethesda since my last update. Even the dinnerware has arrived at the global pasta restaurant, which will be opening soon in the former Ri-Ra space in the Shoppes of Bethesda.
Why does Silver Spring get all the interesting restaurants/bars? You'd think Bethesda could at least have SOME.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing in Silver Spring that Bethesda doesn't have.
ReplyDeleteBethesda doesn't have anything close to the Fillmore or AFI Silver Theatre.
ReplyDeleteNeither does Arlington. Silver Spring offers more arts/entertainment options.
Sweet. The group I get together with once a month really likes these Noodles & Company places. Next time it's my turn to host the get together, we'll go here - It's much closer to my office than the place in Congressional Plaza.
ReplyDeleteAny news on the upcoming Taste of Bethesda?
8:38: Yes, I will be having a report on Taste of Bethesda soon.

ReplyDeleteYou are categorically insane. Yes, Silver Spring already has a Noodles & Co. and Smoothie King so technically you're right that Bethesda is catching up. The problem is those are the cruddiest places in Silver Spring. We should be mimicking the awesome new places that are opening up there instead, e.g. Denizen's Brewery, Urban Butcher, Bump & Grind, Kaldi's, Scion, NaiNai's, Pete's, Olivia's View, Urban Winery, Zensai, AG Kitchen, Pho Tan Vinh, etc. etc.
Instead we get Noodles & Co., Smoothie King, about 4 Dunkin Donuts, and 23 banks. It's sad.
When does it open? That's crucial information I would like to know. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteA restaurant. That serves pasta. With recipes from around the globe. Hence, global pasta restaurant. "WTF" is a vulgar, profane and waste-of-time comment?
ReplyDeletesounds like marketing mumbo jumbo a large national chain fed you while they gave you a tour
