Douglas Development's extensive property renovations at the Shops of Wisconsin shopping center, located at 6831 Wisconsin Avenue, continues. Best known for its anchor tenant, Trader Joe's, the center is getting a major exterior upgrade.
Thanks @10:16. That certainly looks much more inviting than why is there currently! The black isn't very attractive though. Let's hope the final product works out well.
Hope they get so w restaurants to take advantage of that outdoor space. Activate the block better and give that area some more vibrancy and things to do got the folks that live there!
Is there a plan or rendering somewhere? Can't figure out what they are doing...
ReplyDeleteBob had a story last year on the re-design of this property.
ReplyDeleteCheck out the renderings here: http://robertdyer.blogspot.com/2013/07/shops-of-wisconsin-redesign-revealed.html

DeleteWhy on earth would they paint that building black?! Must cost a fortune to keep the building cool in the summer.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand the black paint makes it look like the building was burned up....
Yeah! It does look like it was scorched by fire doesn't it, good call.
