Today is the official end of the Christmas season, and that means it is also the end of the Christmas Countdown on the Robert Dyer Channel. Why not conclude with a Santa Claus product? In this case, it's the Dark Chocolate Santa Claus from Russell Stover, filled with their famous maple creme. Best of all, unlike some candy and cookie companies these days, Russell Stover hasn't shipped their jobs overseas or to Mexico. This product is made in the USA. Is it up to the standards you'd expect from Russell Stover? Watch my review to find out!
Dude, you're going to hurt yourself eating all that junk food.
ReplyDeleteYou say that like it is a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteJust what the world needs, more elitists. If you bothered to do your homework, you'd know this candy is low in fat.
ReplyDelete27% of calories from fat, 63% of calories from sugar.
ReplyDeleteYep, that sounds really healthy.
5:01: Compared to the sodium and fat-laden menu items hip fast-food bashing elitists are ordering at the hip urban restaurants, it's a downright super food. Hypocrisy is a specialty of the MoCo political machine.
DeleteRobert, why don't you go to local restaurants, take an appetizer home and do video reviews of that (on your BETHESDA blog) instead of all this crap junk-food? Makes no sense whatsoever.
ReplyDelete...Or go buy stuff at the local farmer's markets and review that? It would be so much more interesting and constructive and make so much sense in the context of this blog then of reviewing beer and chocolate candies. You are so strange.
ReplyDelete6:01: I guess you missed my recent reviews of Lobster ME and Founding Farmers. Most of the packaged items I review are from Bethesda stores. They sell these items. There's nothing strange about it at all. Just reviewed a couple of candy bars from a Bethesda 7-Eleven. Buy local.
Delete...it's not elitist to say junk food is bad, Dyer. It's called being reasonably educated.
ReplyDelete7:17: The fact that you believe you can determine a person's education level by what food they purchase at a given moment simply confirms you are an elitist.
DeleteDid you finish high school?
ReplyDelete8:11: Embarrassing question to ask a college graduate. Checking the illegally closed sidewalks around Bethesda, your question is better put to the County Council.
Delete"hip fast-food bashing elitists are ordering at the hip urban restaurants"
ReplyDeleteLose the resentment.
Seriously.
8:34: Resentment about what?
DeleteOnce again, some people need to lighten up! geez. Have some fun, you can eat healthy most of the time, exercise, and still indulge in a treat. Anyways, Robert is just trying these items, we don't even know what percent he actually eats of each item. I like watching the videos, they are fun!
ReplyDelete8:45 pm - "Elitists". Why do they make you feel so inferior and insecure?
ReplyDelete9:06: When did I say they made me feel insecure or inferior? Elitism usually is driven by insecurity and inferiority, so your question is better posed to them.
ReplyDelete6:47: Not sure why you'd want to refer to a bigoted comment you posted in the comments on another article. But since you have, it's worth noting that bigotry is usually driven by insecurity and inferiority, as well.
ReplyDelete"Bigotry"? LOL
ReplyDeleteSo are you an Aspie, Robert?
ReplyDeleteAnd "Woodmont" is being his usual toady self.
ReplyDelete7:55 No, but it's beyond the pale that you would use a serious medical condition or disability as an insult toward someone who did not have such a condition.
ReplyDeleteWith your propensity for posting bigoted comments such as you just did again, and overall frathouse bully online persona, you have a lot of catching up to do with where we are as a society in the year 2015.
Aspberger's Syndrome is not "a serious medical condition", you moron.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, many who have the condition use the term "Aspie" as a point of pride.
Guys, lighten up. Blogs don't have to be boring and speak in a robotic voice.
ReplyDeleteBob reviews it all, from the Lobsicle to a bowl at Shophouse.
Are you saying that everything a restaurant critic consumes has to be healthy? I guess you don't eat out much.
"Blogs don't have to be boring and speak in a robotic voice."
ReplyDeleteSo tell Dyer to get a voice coach for his videos.
7:23: You're calling me a moron, and you don't even know what Aspergers is? It's disgraceful that you take serious medical conditions and disabilities and hurl them as insults towards people who don't have them. Classic frat house bully. Are you still using the R-word, too? Despicable.
ReplyDelete7:54: I've given more public speeches than you ever have, and wiped the floor with your candidates in the debates. There's still time for them to sign up for Toastmasters. Don't tell me, you have a Shadoe Stevens/Barry White radio voice, right? Or is it Opie and Anthony?
ReplyDelete"[I] wiped the floor with your candidates in the debates."
ReplyDeleteLOL, then they wiped the floor with you in the election.
Still desperately clinging to this little fantasy?
5:30: And then after the election, you came out as a bigot. But back to the debates, if George Leventhal, Hans Riemer and Nancy Floreen fall in the middle of a debate, and their friends in the press don't write about it, and it doesn't reach the greater public outside of that room as a result, did the debate even happen? I'm supremely confident I could beat any of them in a fair election, with a fair press. They can only win by hiding behind the skirts of the Washington Post and Gazette editorial boards. That's a sad position to be in. Whereas I can outdebate them every night of the week. They didn't even have the guts to show up in Olney because they knew they'd get crushed again. Just watch the videos, man. I won every debate. And then they had their little local media dictatorship step in to save them again. Wow. I am laughing at the superior intellect.
DeleteThere are already tons of restaurant reviews out there. Which other area blogs are covering maple Santa Clauses?
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought.
