MCDONALD'S CHICKEN SELECT TENDERS REVIEW (VIDEO+PHOTOS)

Chicken Selects are back at McDonald's! The premium fried chicken strips are now called McDonald's Chicken Select Tenders, and come only as a 3-piece; the 5-piece has apparently been dropped. They cost $3.49. There are no new sauces debuting with the return of Chicken Selects, so I got the 2 I used to get with these - Creamy Ranch and Honey Mustard. Honey Mustard, as Chicken Selects fans will recall, was created especially for the Chicken Selects when they were first launched about a decade ago.

How do the Chicken Select Tenders compare to the original Chicken Selects (remember, the packaging says these are "improved")? Watch my review to find out!

    Worth thinking about:

Last week, McDonald's announced it plans to buy only chicken that's been raised without antibiotics that increase human susceptibility to antibiotic-resistant infections, including fatal infections.

But that plan will be phased in across two years, so the unnecessary, potentially hazardous, antibiotics are still there in every mouthful of what Robert's reviewing.

Chik-fil-A is phasing out antibiotics in the chicken it serves across five years.

Panera and Chipotle, however, are already there and do NOT serve chicken laced with antibiotics.

The change is consumer driven, backed by CDC's findings that 23,000 Americans die every year from antibiotics-resistant infections and another 2 million fall ill with them and struggle to recover.

Eat smart, especially if children are learning from your example how to eat for a lifetime.

Will the lamestream media investigate this or will the MoCo Machine win out again?

    1. 6:21: I can answer this easily - the lamestream media is part of the MoCo Machine, as their obsequious and naive coverage demonstrates, and the MoCo Machine always wins largely for that reason. Only in Montgomery County does aspiring to good government involve stealing from the playbooks of 3rd World dictatorships.

"[t]he lamestream media is part of the MoCo Machine"

    LOL. Take your pill.

    1. 7:27: No pill necessary. A cursory review of local media coverage of county government supports my assertion. Not to mention they haven't investigated any of the scandals such as the non-profit that "lost track" of $900,000 in taxpayer money 5+ years ago, Farm Road, Silver Spring Transit Center, Hans Riemer's Wall Street Money Machine, Hans Riemer's Liquorgate scandal. Just to name a few. You must need some kind of pill to motivate you to work for this sorry crew 7 days a week.

The MoCo machine is here to discredit Dyer! You can't beat us, we have the money, the power, and the women you crave.

    Ahhahaha.

    1. 7:40: You do have the money and power, but..."the women"? Count me as a skeptic on that one. I haven't encountered anyone in the MoCo political machine who looks like Fabio.
