New streetlight activated on Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda (Photos)

The new traffic signals at Wisconsin Avenue and Stanford Street are now fully activated. A few days ago, they were only flashing, and the pedestrian controls were not yet functional.

As of yesterday, the dangerous crosswalk became safer with the activation of the signals. This crosswalk has generated many pedestrian complaints over the years. Now if we can just get handicapped parking for the U.S. Post Office at 6900 Wisconsin Avenue.

But but but... that cut through the median is at a weird angle to the crosswalks. It will confuse the stupid pedestrians and they will start tripping over their own shoelaces.

Already saw one driver on Stanford run the red and make a left onto 355. I guess they didn't notice the traffic light there.
