Here's a roundup of crimes reported across Bethesda on August 1, according to crime data:

Drug arrest. Woodmont Avenue at Fairmont Avenue.

Assault. Woodmont Avenue at Cordell Avenue at 3:01 AM.

Assault. 4700 block Bradley Boulevard at 4:57 AM.

Theft. Valerian Court (Timberlawn).

Drug offense. 4800 block Cordell Avenue at 12:40 AM.

    The car crash into the building was indeed newsworthy. I drove by a few hours after, and the entire storefront was basically demolished. That business will be closed for a while.

    Seems like an epidemic -- how recently did a BMW crash into the Rite Aid on Westbard?
