Demolition update: Bethesda Shell station and house (Photos)
The Bethesda Shell station at 7628 Old Georgetown Road, and a home next to it, continue to be demolished. They'll make way for a puzzling replacement - a tiny TD Bank building, despite the property being adjacent to a Metro station. The gas pumps and canopy are now gone.
Those who approved this should all resign.
ReplyDeleteProblem is it's by right so they don't have a choice.
DeleteAny chance I could get my hands on that no parking sign?
ReplyDeleteAmerica's most convenient bank will be rather difficult to make a left turn from.
ReplyDelete@ Andrew - if you want to have a "guarded" turn onto Old Georgetown Road from the new bank, the best route would be:
ReplyDelete1) Turn left onto Moorland Lane.
2) Turn right onto Arlington Road.
3) Turn left onto Old Georgetown Road.
How long before a confused old person makes the wrong turn and causes an accident? They will probably plow a German car through the front of the bank first.
