Montgomery County Police have released additional photos of a suspect in the brazen July 23 robbery at Macy's in Westfield Montgomery Mall. He and others allegedly shoplifted merchandise from the store, and pepper sprayed Macy's loss prevention officers as they made their escape around 3:21 PM that day.
The suspect appears to have been caught by a bus security camera, and is wearing the same shirt as he was pictured in at the mall that day.
Do you know this man, or did you see him on this bus, in the mall, or anywhere else that day? Contact police immediately.
Anyone who has information about these suspects or the robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division Robbery Section at 240-773-5100. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 240-773-TIPS (8477) or Text-A-Tip to: CRIMES (274637), text MCPD and your crime tip. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
Dyer never posts pictures of suspects unless they are black.
ReplyDeleteAnd one of Dyer's faithful readers shows up.
ReplyDelete5:05 shame on you for making such an accusation! Totally uncalled for and totally false! Get a life, seriously.

ReplyDeleteRobert continues to provide residents the most timely crime reporting.
ReplyDeleteThere are more black people than ever before at Montgomery Mall and I've been there since I was a child. Don't like the uptick in crime one bit. Compare to Lenox Mall in Atlanta. They have major provlems there too now. The poster that talked about prisons is correct about one thing. The vast majority of prisons are populated by blacks. That's just the fact. Look it up. And if you don't like it, I can't help that.
ReplyDeleteThe mall reflects the diversity of MoCo, is wonderful and safe.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful but no longer as safe. It's still very safe overall but police need to get tough on crime and stop being PC. This summer, in neighborhoods like Alta Vista, Arylawn and surrounding, there were multiple vehicle thefts almost every night. It was ripe for the picking. There has been an increase in these petty crimes but the trend is unsettling and some crime is violent. Just read this blog where Robert Dyer posts the police blotter. It's never a short list of crimes. Tough policing and sentencing go a long way toward curbing this. You know what else does? The ability, which we don't have, for reasonable gun ownership and carry laws to allow law-abiding citizens to protect themselves. Of course, we're way too liberal for that to ever happen. Gun friendly areas see lower crime that's just a fact.
ReplyDeleteDyer's faithful readers show their true colors. I.e., lily-white.
ReplyDeleteNo just willing to call attention to a problem. If whites or others were causing this trouble, people would be saying the same thing. It isn't about color, it's about being honest and looking at how to address the issues. Being soft on crime, no matter who's committing it, is an issue. The fact is that black youth, overwhelmingly, are committing this crime. These kids need to be home after dark or better yet, working instead of staying on the dole and/or robbing Macy's.
ReplyDeleteThis is about safety and quality of life. MC needs to be tougher on crime. Living in NYC for decades taught me the PC attitude only perpetuates crime. Black, white, green or red -- find 'em and prosecute. You can't improve the area just with million dollar condos!!
ReplyDelete9:08 - Right on the money. Look at the news breaking right now. Cities soft on crime and heavily anti-gun rights have the highest crime. period.
