City Sports at Pike & Rose to close October 31 (Photos)
A closing sale is underway at City Sports, one of the largest retail tenants at Pike & Rose. The closure says more about the financial turmoil of the sporting goods chain than the health of Federal Realty's new development at Old Georgetown Road and Rockville Pike.
Going to have to run down there right after work for some great closeout deals. Not too surprised they are closing though. Kids these days don't really play as many sports as they used to. Its all ipad games and dubstep and tumblr now, and none of those require running shoes or medicine balls.
ReplyDeletePike and Rose is DOOOOOOMED!
ReplyDeleteNo, but the struggling City Sports chain may be.
DeleteHow are you always wrong Dyer? PIKE AND ROSE IS DOOOOOOOOMED!
ReplyDeleteMy understanding was that the parent corporation of City Sports was going under, therefore the ripple effect.
ReplyDeleteSo where will we pick up our Turkey Chase packets? This was the designated spot!
