Fogden closes "temporarily" in Bethesda (Photos)

Fogden has closed at 8014 Norfolk Avenue. According to a sign posted out front, the vaping store's closure is temporary.

The Montgomery County Council passed bans and levied taxes on e-cigarettes in 2015, hurting demand and making doing business more costly for vaping and e-cigarette retailers. Storeowners warned at the time the crackdown could damage their businesses.

That place always had a very creepy vibe. I won't miss it.

I agree - something about the dark curtains covering the windows. Made me think something illicit was happening there.

I'll take walking thru a cloud of dessert-y scented vapor over a cloud of tobacco smoke any day.

    And ditto on the creepy.

They previously had a sign that said Do Not Occupy by the County.
