The sign police visited Bethesda yesterday, and left a calling card for at least one Woodmont Triangle business. It mentions that a meeting will be held at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center at 9:00 AM on January 26, for a "Q&A" on Montgomery County sign regulations.
That's funny. I thought you were the sign police Robert?
ReplyDeleteI personally would like to see all the sidewalk signs removed.
ReplyDeleteThe worst of a sad bunch is Bold Bite/202 Donuts. A long-time favorite place to put one of their signs is at the space that was the bus stop for the Bethesda Circulator at Woodmont & Norfolk. The only way to get off or on the bus was through the rear doors, or having the bus move. This often meant that the disability ramp could not be employed. If not blocking the bus stop, they block the sidewalk instead.
The signs look like crap. I hope they are all removed.
GOOD.
ReplyDeleteBooeymongers is always blocking busy East-West highway's sidewalk next to the Metro. I hold a grudge for the amount of times it has gotten in the way and I will never eat there because of it.
ReplyDeleteBold Bite should switch to a bat signal, like TJ's
ReplyDeleteGet rid of all the Raskin & Matthews signs as well which are in violation of the temporary sign law.
