The future True Food Kitchen restaurant in the ground floor of the Solaire Bethesda luxury apartments has applied for a Montgomery County liquor license. This will be the second outpost of the health-oriented restaurant in the DC area. Mosaic District in Fairfax is the other.
True Food Kitchen's license hearing is scheduled for February 4 at 11:30 AM.
Is this taking all the retail space in the building or is there additional space? If so, any clues yet on who might take them?
ReplyDeleteI think that's it. So sad all these buildings having fairly little retail space that are isolated by loading docks, garage entrances, lobbies, and streets.
DeleteThis is certainly exciting though!
DeleteI am soooooo excited about getting a True Food here in Bethesda. It is an established brand that really fits Bethesda's classy, progressive and world-conscious vibe. This is how they describe themselves:
ReplyDelete'You don’t have to be a die-hard Yogi to dine at True Food Kitchen. You need only a desire to give your body nutrients, and your palate something memorable. The basis for the anti-inflammatory diet isn’t meant to deprive a healthy body of great flavors, it’s meant to take popular trends in cuisine and pair them with healthy living.'
Full disclosure, I have enough lululemon in my closets that the clerks would certainly award me an honorary die-hard Yodi degree, but even if that were not the case, I would be very excited about their offerings. I certainly hope they are smart enough to offer their full dinner menu for pickup. They're like the Tesla of food!
@ 6:09 PM - Or The Washington Post's editorial calling for the end of the MoCo DLC's monopoly. Or the new Smashburger opening in Twinbrook.
ReplyDelete"Breaking Bethesda news - for when you want to be the first to know." LOL
Folks aren't coming here to read what the Post thinks. We read the Post already. We want Dyer's original content and analysis. As only a life long resident can give it to us :)
ReplyDelete9:05: Why would I rewrite what the Post already wrote? Nuts. I'm a journalist, not an aggregator.
ReplyDeleteTwinbrook isn't in Bethesda, last time I checked. My Rockville blog RockvilleNights.com reported about the progress at the Twinbrook Smashburger a long time ago.
You're still "Dumass Material all the way".https://youtu.be/Jemkrew4mFU
