The office will be located at 11572 Old Georgetown Road, next to the Pallas apartments. Sales wiil be handled by McWilliams|Ballard. A grand opening event will be held tonight at City Perch at Pike & Rose from 6:00-8:00 PM; you can RSVP online.
930 Rose will offer 104 condo units atop the future Canopy by Hilton hotel. Federal Realty is touting it as a rare condo building in the Mid-Atlantic region to offer hotel services and amentities. The 20-story building will offer a 21st-story 4600 SF rooftop garden terrace with outdoor seating and a dog park. A club room will boast a "chef-inspired" kitchen and fitness center.
Many of the loft-style units will feature 9 foot ceilings, window walls with Mecho shades, balconies and terraces, Italian kitchen cabinets, gas stoves and cast iron tubs. There will also be many personalization options available. The building will have an address on the future Rose Avenue at the development.
Please include selfies next time!
ReplyDeleteRobert- I do not understand why you are so negative about the Westbard project but do not seem to really care about Pike + Rose. Please explain so I can have a better understanding of the difference. Tnxs!
ReplyDeleteStill no firm word on Neighborhood Restaurant Group. You'd think spring would be the ideal time to open a beer garden. Wonder if they are backing out...
ReplyDeleteDon't fall - would be hard to pick a filter for your pictures from a coma!
ReplyDelete7:47 AM My take on Pike & Rose vs. Westbard:
ReplyDeletePike & Rose is down the street from a Metro station and is right on the Pike, which is heavily served by transit.
Westbard is not walking distance to any Metro station and is served by one Ride On bus and one T2 bus with sporadic service.
Lots more daytime pictures from Dyer of late. I guess perpetually overcast weather is OK for vampires?
ReplyDeleteAside from the transit differences, Pike & Rose is a self-contained development and not in the middle of an existing residential neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteThey took an old shopping center and commuter parking lot and turned it into it's own little city.
It is not part of the entrance or exit from older existing houses.
8:01 AM Yeah, I agree. Also, the Pike is and always has been a destination for massive retail and commercial spaces. Westbard Avenue is not, and never should, be Rockville Pike!
ReplyDeleteWestbard needs more of a village center, not the massive development planned approved by the Council.
"It is not part of the entrance or exit from older existing houses."
ReplyDeleteNeither is Westbard Avenue.
"Westbard needs more of a village center"
ReplyDeleteWhich is exactly what's getting built. Pike & Rose is building 20 story buildings, Equity One is building 3-5 story buildings.
What exactly is your idea of a village center? A collection of huts?
@747 - Just another example of Dyer's pompous ass providing one-sided jargon he calls news
ReplyDeleteRobert- does your mom prefer Pike & Rose or Westbard?
ReplyDelete"the two-story frame of a future building"
ReplyDeleteThe two-story building at the Rockville Pike entrance will be REI. The one along "Towne Road" (Hoya Street) is being leased by another retail tenant.
"rare condo building in the Mid-Atlantic region to offer hotel services and amentities"
Rare, but increasingly common. In Baltimore nine stories of condos are being finished above the 21-story Four Seasons hotel. Similar developments are happening in Philadelphia, Jersey City, and other cities in the Mid-Atlantic.
@827 she prefers DEEZ NUTS
ReplyDeleteSilly little fanboys. Can't get enough Dyer!
ReplyDelete"Many of the loft-style units will feature 9 foot ceilings"
ReplyDelete9 feet ceiling /= "loft"
"Italian kitchen cabinets"
Fix 'em again, Tony?
@Poppy, youre too good to put the hot dog in your mouth if you catch my drift, right?
ReplyDeleteToo bad your au pair aint like that!
@10:52 Poppy isn't even posting in this comment thread man. You're obsessed.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking the same thing
DeleteHey Dyer - up yours!
ReplyDelete10:48, 10:51, 11:10 - Silly little Fanboy(s). All about the Dyer.
ReplyDeleteDyer's friend (11:20am):
ReplyDeletePlease look up the term "fanboy." You'll realize labeling trolls as such makes absolutely no sense.
@ 11:24 AM, 11:28 AM - He's playing "I know you are, but what am I?"
ReplyDeleteALL HAIL HANS RIEMER! ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US
ReplyDelete@1124 - neither does any of the trash Dyer posts on his second class blog.
ReplyDeleteThey are fanboys. Obsessed with Dyer. Obsessed with posting about Dyer.
ReplyDeleteTrolls can be fanboys.
Do they have an obsession of a certain object, person, thing, or fad? yes, Dyer
Are they often hostile to those who disagree? Yes, lots of FUs
Do they take their obsession beyond comprehensible levels of sanity? Yes
Fanboys!!!
@1146 your a fanboy of the stupid word. Get a dictionary instead of posting the same term incessantly.
ReplyDelete"Do they have an obsession of a certain object, person, thing, or fad?
ReplyDeleteAre they often hostile to those who disagree?
Do they take their obsession beyond comprehensible levels of sanity?"
LOL, do you even realize what you just wrote?
I agree with the "fanboy" description for the troll. He's obviously longing for attention and even approval from Robert Dyer.
ReplyDeletefanboys fanboys fanboys fanboys
ReplyDelete11:48 saying get a dictionary when they don't know the difference between your and you're.
ReplyDeleteFanboy lashing out.
@12:22 pretty sure you're the Dyer "Fanboy". People trolling Dyer are not fanboys, in fact they're the very opposite.
ReplyDeleteAlso you're the one who's total "dumass" material if you honestly thing it's one "lone troll" on here. You're as delusional as Bobby D himself!
"They are fanboys. Obsessed with Dyer. Obsessed with posting about Dyer.
ReplyDeleteTrolls can be fanboys.

You're still misinterpreting the definition, bit I'll try explaining it to you. A fanboy of Mr. Dyer would be hostile against those who disagree with Mr. Dyer, not the other way around.
In any case, something tells me that the commenter throwing around the term "fanboy" is Mr. Dyer himself, or a close friend. The pattern of loony conspiracy theories, nonexistent logic, and petty insults is eerily familiar.
1:34: I always post under my real name, unlike cowards like you. Did you get an "attaboy" from George Leventhal yet today?
Delete*but
ReplyDeleteDumasses 1 Birdbrains 0
ReplyDelete1:34 Maybe once. Catch up. Haters/Trolls are Fanboys.
ReplyDeleteHaters can't be haters unless they have something they love enough to hate.
@ 1:49 PM - Did you get "attaboys" from Benny Greenberg, Robin Ficker, Janis Sartucci and Deborah Vollmer?
ReplyDeleteThank God most journalists don't believe success depends on how many attaboys a writer gets from the elected officials they cover...
ReplyDeleteI don't think that's a success metric discussed in journalism school!
Maybe we expect too much if we think George Leventhal's friends can cover him objectively?
Is there a local Edward R. Murrow award for publications with the most attaboys from local elected officials? If not, can we petition for one?
ReplyDeleteIt's disgusted to watch a writer having to service Leventhal.
"I always post under my real name, unlike cowards like you. Did you get an "attaboy" from George Leventhal yet today?"
ReplyDeleteAnd right on cue, there's the crackpot conspiracy theories I was talking about.
No I don't work for Leventhal, Riemer, Elrich, Leggett, Equity One, Obama, Romney, Wall Street, reincarnated Josef Stalin, Kim Jong-un, the boogeyman, anyone else you delusionally think is out to get you. (Seriously, you should really talk to someone about that)
3:27: Serious question - if you really aren't a paid stooge for the MoCo political cartel, why can't you post under your real name? If your comments aren't the ravings of a political hack, why can't you stand behind them?
DeleteUltimately, why aren't you man enough to state your real name?
I can do it - why can't you? This is why you currently have zero credibility.
3:27 PM If this news site gets you that stressed, please leave and move on.
ReplyDeletePlenty of other Dyer clone sites to provide you press releases and and praise of our local elected officials.
And Team Birdbrain responds in just four minutes. LOL
ReplyDelete3:47 PM = Robert Dyer fanboy?
ReplyDeleteSeven minutes. LOL
ReplyDeleteAre you MY little fanboy?
5:53 = Dyer obsessed fanboy
ReplyDeleteFour minutes.
ReplyDeleteBaskins, Ben and Jerrys @ Bradley & Fairfax
ReplyDeleteI love it when King Pussywuss of Westbard babbles about being "man enough".
ReplyDelete9:45: Says the coward who is too scared to tell us his name, posting Anonymously instead, and isn't man enough to say these things in person when he's stalking me at community and Council meetings. Man up!
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean everyone here posting as anonymous is a coward? Including those for and against you?
Delete2:27PM my, my, my. Getting under your skin?
ReplyDeleteSilly little fanboy.
5:34: No, just you, the troll. Hiding behind a screen, saying things you don't have the manliness to say in person - that's the definition of a coward. If you were a real man, you'd post your real name. The inability to do so also proves that you realize your name would be ruined, as well as your employers', if your crazy comments were connected to your identity.
ReplyDeleteI'm 5:34. How was my simple question trolling again?
DeletePopular bumper sticker in Bethesda:
ReplyDeleteHONK IF ROBERT DYER EVER ACCUSED YOU OF BEING "THE LONE TROLL"
6:32 your love for Dyer has you honking for his attention. Silly.
ReplyDeleteCrazy thought - maybe threads like these should be reserved for asking questions/sharing information about the projects highlighted in the post rather than picking on a guy like a bunch of middle school kids? I come to this site in the morning to read about what new stuff is opening up within walking distance of my house. Obviously, I'm in the minority because it seems like a lot of you come here just to post very unimaginative digs at a guy who just seems to run a pretty decent local blog. Kind of a waste of time to sift through all the comments to see if anyone, you know, had any meaningful information to share about the project referenced in the post. You seem to have more free time than the guy you chastise for having too much of it himself.
ReplyDelete6:49 I'm gonna take a guess here. You took what Dyer specifically said to a specific person, twisted it around to make it seem as if he was insulting everyone.
ReplyDeleteYou may not be THE troll, but you do this often and are more obvious than you think.
I would say it's quite a fair question, especially considering dyer consistently insists there is only one lone troll.
DeleteI notice that @ 6:43 AM could only wait nine minutes before responding to @ 6:32 AM, and only ten minutes before responding to 6:49 AM. He is obsessed. LOL at Team Birdbrain.
ReplyDelete6:59 here. What? What are you babbling about? You see conspiracy where none exists.
ReplyDeleteLeave me out of it.
That's a good point to be taken by all. Dyer, pro, and against included.
DeleteObsessive is counting the minutes between people's comments.
ReplyDelete@ 11:45 AM - You don't need a stopwatch to do that. Just subtract one time stamp from the other, Team Birdbrain.
DeleteAgree with Rhett. This is a good local blog that does not seem to be beholden to outside and outsider interests. If Mr. Dyer chooses to let people post anon (unlike other sites) and let the sunlight hit the trolls, I'm gonna call those trolls out. A troll's job is to control the conversation, obfuscate fact, manipulate and disrupt. If readers of this blog call you on it, that's a good thing. We don't care about your "timekeeping" either, it's irrelevant (what a shocker).
ReplyDeleteI don't disagree, but to be fair Dyer obfuscates fact, manipulates and disrupts also. As well as time keeps.
Delete11:44: Obsessively posting, posting, posting. Aw, you must be tired.
ReplyDelete4:06 Who do you represent, what is your interest here, "anon"?
ReplyDeleteI am 4:06 and don't represent anyone but myself, as is likely with most of us here. My interest is in my community and government and schools and housing etc. and you?
DeleteAnonymous said...
ReplyDelete"Who do you represent, what is your interest here, 'anon'?
How come Dyer's supporters are too cowardly to use their own name? I see many more of Dyer's critics using names.
7:52 That's bullshit.
DeleteThe only Dyer "critic" I've ever seen using a full name here is when George Leventhal posts.
Traditional role of the press is to have a critical eye on elected officials, not to seek attaboys.
