Tower crane going up at Stonehall Bethesda construction site (Photos)

The latest tower crane to take to the skies over downtown Bethesda is being assembled at the future site of the Stonehall Bethesda luxury condos at 8302 Woodmont Avenue. Blasting will be necessary there to break up bedrock, as I reported a few weeks ago. Time once again to brush up on your knowledge of crane signals.

1st picture is nice with the crane and sky.
That looks awfully close to the apts. Bet the noise will have their dishes rattling in the cupboards all the time.

    Rob,

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but you are an interesting character. While we all appreciate your reporting on our beautiful Bethesda and larger MoCo, I feel removed from the journalist, the author behind these well-scripted posts.

Would you be willing to do an "About the Author" feature on yourself? I feel like it would be great for the blog.

    Tnxs!

It's hard to tell the difference between honest requests and baiting by trolls.

Dyer already has an "about us" right on the front page here.
    You're welcome.

Now that we know Robert Dyer, what do we know about others that cover the county? Nothing.

Not sure I agree with that, 10:07. A childish defensive nature is far worse IMHO.

    "ABOUT US

"Robert Dyer is a lifelong resident of Bethesda, and CEO of Suburban News Network. He began publishing hyperlocal news about his hometown in 2006. A civic activist in Montgomery County for over a decade on issues like transportation, development and education, Robert has also been an advocate for the disabled and victims of domestic violence.

"His journalistic efforts have put a spotlight on the loss of affordable housing, infrastructure and traffic congestion, environmental brownfields, pedestrian safety, government accountability, and other topics of importance to the community.

"Suburban News Network supplies breaking news across Montgomery County through several hyperlocal news sites..."

LOL, what pretentious bullshit. I didn't know that Pulitzer Awards could be self-published.

Robert Dyer is well-established- known. What do we know about others that cover the county? Zero.
Everyone should have an "about us", like Robert has. Even Patch had a bio for its writers.
Even the freelancers and college interns that others employ (who don't live here) should tell us a little about themselves :)
