Don't bring the car around, Jeeves - there's no where to go. Valet parking has been curtailed at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda hotel, where the driveway is fenced off for construction of new retail and restaurant space on the ground floor of the building.
Self-parking in the garage is still available. All existing restaurants remain open during the construction.
Well!! If there's no valet parking...why bother.
ReplyDeleteThey really need to start over and turn this into a W or a Gansevoort.
ReplyDeleteEven with your VIP access they wouldn't let you inside the fence birdbrain???
ReplyDeleteRobert - do you think you would survive if you jumped off the top of that hotel? $100 bucks says you can't. I'll go with you but you go first!
ReplyDelete@813 Clever!
ReplyDelete@8:13 terrible comeback.
ReplyDeleteThe old, Bethesda legacy media continues to call Mr. Dyer every nasty name in the book, hoping to disrupt his site.
ReplyDeleteWhy is the anonymous negative legacy median man so angry?
And your proof that it's coming from the old, Bethesda legacy media is what again?
Delete"Old, Bethesda legacy media"
ReplyDeleteI don't know of anything over 15 years old.
@9:33AM - I think it was brilliant. I'm going to save it for future use.
ReplyDeleteYou're just jealous you didn't think of it first.
Must be it.
DeleteBethesda Magazine is 10 years old, Dyer's blog is 8 years old.
ReplyDeleteI guess that makes Dyer's blog "bethesda's almost-legacy media"?
12:34: What you are posting is irrelevant to the topic of this article, a violation of comment policy. I stand by what I wrote, but what does it have to do with the Hyatt construction?
ReplyDeleteSo remember you said that anytime you mention Riemer, moribund economy, etc when you comment too.
DeleteLooking at all the previous comments, Dyer's enforcement of his "no off-topic comments" policy seems selective.
ReplyDeleteOld, print legacy media checking in again.
ReplyDelete#hideyourpets
ReplyDelete4:21 PM We can't trust Riemer to accomplish anything while in office. The Washington Post reported that Riemer accomplished zero in his first term. Nothing done in his second either :(
ReplyDeleteWe can't trust George Leventhal. The man is erratic and verbally abusive to staff (according to The Washington Post).
ReplyDeleteWe can't trust the old Bethesda legacy print media that praises Leventhal and Reamer. Nothing says fair coverage like being retweeted and praised by government officials daily :)
This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteCan citizens sue Reamer for stupidity?
DeleteAt least Leventhal is finally publicly talking about the end of his political career.
"the old Bethesda legacy print media"
ReplyDeleteMeaningless string of words.
"Meaningless string of words"
DeleteDescribes the old legacy print media well.
@ 8:57/8:56/6:38/6:26/1:01 PM is Bethesda Magazine's biggest fanboy. Even though he's too embarrassed to say the name of his obsession, he just can't stop talking about them.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet here you are blindly defending Robert Dyer.
DeleteThis area is a disaster and accident waiting to happen every day, every hour. Folks need to move to a safer spot to get anyone who they are picking up and the taxi drivers need to stop blocking traffic without turn signals. Where is MCPD when you need them?
ReplyDelete6:48 aren't they just across the street in their station?
ReplyDeleteAnd yet here *you* are blindly deriding Robert Dyer. What's your point?
ReplyDeleteMy question is, where to the taxi's que now that the drive is closed?
ReplyDelete"...where do
Deletethe taxis queue..."
@ 7:52 AM - I'm 9:30 AM and I was referring to Dyer's Shill's obsession with Bethesda Magazine, and the fact that he can't mention it by name because Dyer would terminate his microwave privileges permanently.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mention a name then you aren't advertise. Duh.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was Dyer's shill. That's what you called me yesterday. Yet I haven't made a comment since the very first one-all the way at the top. Must be more than one of us.
What's your hang-up with microwave privileges? Do they not let you use one in your ward?
If you think that's bad, just think of how many people Dyer thinks there is rolled up into one lone troll
DeleteCrap, typo. Should be *advertising* Ack. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteThe old legacy print media is weighing in again. What's their obsession with Robert Dyer? They keep posting here.
