707 horsepower. 650 lb-ft. of torque. Blacked-out wheels. 8-speed automatic. 6.2 liter V8 with Supercharger. It's also apparently the safer version of the Hellcat for novice drivers - the Challenger edition was the one that got all the negative (and possibly overhyped) headlines about new owners, unused to controlling such power, crashing them.
Now can they just make a 2-door Charger?

ReplyDeleteNot really that rare of a car compared to most other things they've got on their lot.
ReplyDelete"Some unscrupulous dealerships tried to gouge fans desperate to get their hands on one."
ReplyDeleteDyer hates the free market.
What a Communist.
7:38: That's funny, but isn't it Hans Riemer, Roger Berliner, et al, who exclusively visit Communist dictatorships on their "economic development" trips? No wonder the Montgomery County private sector economy is moribund!
Delete7:38 AM Says things they know aren't true. Secretly wants to be a political speech writer.
ReplyDelete8:20 AM writes in a weird and distinctive telegraphic syntax.
Delete8:33am always finds a way to bring Riemer into every conversation. Why are you such a Hans Riemer fanboy?
ReplyDelete9:29 AM Likes to state the obvious in an amusing way
ReplyDeleteWhat is it on sale for?
ReplyDeleteThe dealer markups were a big issue. I own a rare sports car from another brand, and some dealers wanted $5k deposit just to get on the waiting list. Then a few months after the car arrived on the market, the initial demand was satisfied and the lots were "full" of them (well, 3 cars allocated per dealer at a time). Anyone who tried to mark up couldn't sell at all.
I ended up buying from a dealer in Baltimore. All the ones here would not budget from MSRP of around $80k. That was 5 months ago, and those cars still sit on the lot, while my business went elsewhere.

5:48: Which democracies have Riemer and Berliner visited on "official business" while in office?
ReplyDeleteCompletely and utterly vulgar.
ReplyDeleteI thought Riemer was a Wall Street "capitalist," but now he's the exact opposite, a "communist?"
ReplyDeleteLol. Dyer can't even get his lies straight!
My guess is this thing wound up on the Euro lot because the previous owner found out how horrible it was, then settled for a better foreign-made car. Rapid depreciation.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have one of the AMG models they sell for this price
ReplyDeleteWhile not for everyone, the Hellcat will be highly collectible. It will certainly hold its value.
ReplyDelete^Woah! The return of Poppy!
ReplyDeleteSummer's over. All the Bethesda Poppys are back from Martha;s Vineyard
ReplyDeleteAbout two weeks ago, I was walking along Bethesda Avenue between the moribund Barnes & Noble and the Parker's and Tara Thai that Hans Riemer killed, whereupon I heard a family speaking in French. One of the sons was wearing a Vineyard Vines t-shirt.
ReplyDelete#PoppySighting !!! I was so thrilled.
