The Bethesda connection to Trump's choice for Russian ambassador

Jon Huntsman, Jr. who is reportedly President Donald Trump's choice to be the next ambassador to Russia, spent some of his childhood years in Bethesda. Huntsman's father, who invented the foam clamshell containers that used to keep McDonald's sandwiches and Chicken McNuggets hotter than today's paper wrappers, briefly moved to the D.C. area in 1971 to take a position at the White House.

The Huntsmans lived in the exclusive Spring Hill neighborhood off of Massachusetts Avenue. Jon Huntsman attended Westbrook Elementary School. He is one of the school's most notable alumni, having earned bipartisan respect for his record in challenging roles as governor of Utah, and as President Barack Obama's ambassador to China.

    1. 9:35: So, you question Obama's judgment in naming Huntsman as ambassador to China?

8:11: If cold burgers make you feel like you're saving the planet, knock yourself out. You favor nuclear war with Russia? We have a lot more in common with the Russians than with ISIS (although some on the County Council share the ISIS position on U.S. defense spending).

Dyer @ 9:54 AM - Why do you believe that 8:11 AM "favor[s] nuclear war with Russia"? That's a rather bizarre inference you just made.

Dyer @ 9:54 AM - Did you write an article when Obama appointed Huntsman to be ambassador to China? Your bias is showing. And your defensiveness, too.

Dyer @ 10:16PM - What does Obama have to do with @9:00's comment?
    Reading comprehension!

Yes, G Money, Mr Huntsman was a MC young republican in action.
Non-sequitur: he and former Senator Joe Lieberman are the co-founders of the No Labels group.

Only Dyer can take a comment about a fast food wrapper and turn it into promoting nuclear war.

Only Dyer can turn a question about the web platform used by local newssites, into a lame critique of the third-previous president.
