I believe some of these renderings posted at the Hyatt Regency on Wisconsin Avenue are new. The banner is touting the extensive renovations being nearly complete. With competitor Marriott building a new hotel a few blocks up in several years, these upgrades were needed to stay competitive.

Let's be honest, Hans very handedly beat Dyer and a second candidate on the merits of his campaign...not some cucuckoo nonsense about the cemeteries coming in strong for Dyer. Let's put this one to bed...Dyer winning in all probability is about as realistic as 40,000 illegal voters voting for Reimer. Can we all agree on this? Good.

4:15: Yes, let's be honest - one small sweep of the election rolls recently in MoCo alone turned up 14,000 dead or out-of-county names that were expunged, according to the Board of Elections. That was prior to Judicial Watch's analysis that showed more voters registered in the county than there are people eligible to vote.

So it is totally possible that 40,000 illegal votes could be cast for Riemer.

8:08: The Post editorial board made up a generic liberal-Republican-style Mac Mathias platform for the candidate, and included none of his actual platform, which included tolling people for using regular commuting roads, and denying the minimum wage to anyone who wasn't a college graduate, proposals that would hardly spur a surge of voter support.
Their tactic is always the same in a multi-seat race - try to prevent a GOP victory by endorsing someone other than the front-runner to drag him or her down. This either worked, or the numbers were tainted by voter fraud.
I actually have noticed major voting results anomalies that I never brought up in the past, because I don't want to be a sore loser. But now that we have this new evidence of voter fraud in the county, I think those precinct results need to be examined from 2010 and 2014.
And that's another reason we need poll watchers at the precincts where that questionable activity seemed to take place for the next election.

So the names get expunged and they come up with some procedure or policy to help stop that problem in the future. The Brennan Center for Justice has some good information on voter fraud.
