Bethesda could lose Comcast SportsNet if NBC real estate shuffle goes through

Local broadcasting news website DCRTV is reporting a potential real estate move by NBC that could cost Montgomery County one of downtown Bethesda's highest-profile offices. The site reports that NBC is currently seeking a more high profile news headquarters than the space it currently shares with local affiliate NBC4 on Nebraska Avenue.

Should NBC find a spot similar to that of Fox News in the center of the action downtown, DCRTV says, they would move Comcast SportsNet from 7700 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda to Nebraska Avenue. They presumably would save whatever they currently pay in rent at 7700 Wisconsin in doing so.

      5:21: Doesn't NBC own their Nebraska Avenue property? If so, they wouldn't charge themselves rent.

    Thanks for the update Robert, its sad if this is true, but hopefully they can find a new tenant quickly. Maybe another news network would be able to headquarter there. Suburban News Network maybe?

    You don't know if Robert produces revenue or not. Many may speculate he does not, but we have seen sponsored content and his other endeavors may produce revenue, such as his studio album, his Youtube videos etc. It is impressive that Robert has accomplished all that he has accomplished.
