Honey Pig Korean BBQ to open at Montrose Crossing

The latest addition to Montrose Crossing is the rapidly-expanding local chain Honey Pig Korean BBQ. It will occupy a 6200 SF space at the shopping center, located at 12015 Rockville Pike.

This is not to be confused with another future Montrose Crossing tenant, Honeygrow. Both are Asian eateries, but Honeygrow is a Chipotle-style stir-fry bowl concept.

Honey Pig Korean BBQ says the Montrose Crossing location will open in Spring 2018.

Interesting that Montrose Crossing is getting these restaurants and fast casual places. The rest of the shopping mall other than B&N is such lower end stuff like value city furniture and Bob's discount furniture.

They are going in on the back side at the opposite end of the county liquor store? That's gonna hurt because drive by is bad and that strip looks dumpy. They also will compete with the new strip being built on the front alongside Chick Fil-A. Should have snagged a spot in there

  4. No one can afford the "luxury" of Bethesda Row. I'll happily drive to Rockville for Honey Pig! Wish we could get one in Bethesda, but I wouldn't put my small business in that high rent district.

I just re-read Robert Dyer's article in his Rockville blog about Saul Centers' project at the Twinbrook Metro, and came across this:

    "431440 SF of office space"

Five times as much as the project in Fredericksburg he was touting a few weeks ago, as proof of the MoCo Machine's moribundity.

  6. 6:43: Actually, Bethesda Magazine plagiarized my Honey Pig article without citing me as the source. So unprofessional!

Looks like Dyer's jobbie job is sometime between noon and 9:30 PM.

How do you know they did not have a source of their own?

Couldn't someone else have a source just as you do? Or are you the only one that can possibly have a source?

  12. There was nothing about Honey Pig that appeared or was announced yesterday besides my article. Their article appeared long after mine, and was based on my enterprising reporting.

I wonder if the Magazine staff understands how crediting other journalists or atleast hat tips work.

Massive coinedence then I guess that Dyer goes to press with a big story and a Magazine publishes the scoop later, without attribution.

The Bethesda Beat articlr looks like it was written by a 5th grader who got a C in writing. Bethesda does not read at a 4th or 8th grade level like most major papers are written.

I guess Robert's worried he'll have to share the Pulitzer for this groundbreaking story.

I still think the Magazine was robbed of the local Morrow award for their "f*ck ton o' mayo" piece.

Nothing says quality local journalism like the f word.

Maybe they spent more time, getting more details to share!
Maybe, since they aren't one lone guy writing and approving and posting and whatever else a multi-person organization needs to do, it takes a few more minutes to get to "print."

For all you know your "source" contacted THEM first and they were more thorough.

Unless you know the true answers to these questions, your indignation is just same old, same old. Whine, whine, whine. Poor me, they're all against me.

Why don't you grow a pair and stop playing the victim.

Why did that bigoted Magazine not credit Mr Dyer?

  23. Anonymous4:57 AM

Why is Robert completely ignoring the question or possibility that other publications could have their own source?

Why would you think the Magazine is bigoted? Distractions, distortions and
    irrelevancies.
Too embarrassed to use his real name to support Dyer. It's one thing when your detractors are anonymous, but when your supporters don't want their name associated with you? Ouch. That must sting.

Sheepshill does not understand the meaning of the word "bigoted".

Sheephshill can't write in complete sentences.

Sheepshill can't see the hypocrisy of posting anonymously himself, or worse, posting under a fake name.

Full stop is a British term used at the end of a sentence. Like Americans and Canadians use the word "period."
A new study suggests that people who finish messages with "full stop"s are perceived as insincere. Let’s not get started on the creeps who put a nose in smiley faces.

Robert Dyer keeps deleting the comparison of the text of the two articles, which shows that they had no text in common.

He also deletes the comment noting that the BB article was published only 1 hour 13 minutes after his, and after three other BB articles within the same half-hour, the third of which was about the sale of Lakeforest.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous7:29 AM

Not just "no text in common", but the BB article includes much more detail and useful information than Dyer's article. Somehow this is all "plagiarized". LOL
