The permanent sign is up and lit at the
future Chercher Ethiopian Cuisine & Bar at 4921 Bethesda Avenue. An awning with the restaurant's logo has also been installed at the front of the building. Chercher is one of two Ethiopian restaurants opening soon in downtown Bethesda, the other being Dinquesh Ethiopian Restaurant at 4865 Cordell Avenue.
Boy, is that gonna suck. Record closure speed.

ReplyDelete5:27: Yes, I think Lucy changed the name to distinguish the two locations. Before Chercher, this building was Suma, but probably more widely known for its earlier tenant, Nest Cafe.
ReplyDeleteI think they need to change their branding. The sign outside emphasizes vegan too much, making people think that's all they sell. But it's mostly non-vegan with a few vegan dishes if I'm not mistaken.

2:37: Yeah...they no longer exist, and I'm still publishing! As for the second claim: In just the few years Bethesda Now existed, reporter's salary alone would have taken them over 6 figures. They also paid $13000 for a verified Twitter account, and massive amounts to buy Twitter & Facebook followers and promoted posts on both platforms.
