Frida Beer Garden now open in Bethesda (Photos)

Frida Beer Garden, which is attached to the new TacoArepa restaurant at 4905 Fairmont Avenue, opened over the weekend. Although I mentioned this in my St. Patrick's Day specials report, I wanted to post some photos of the beer garden space now that it is complete.

I really enjoyed Taco Arepa and look forward to going to the beer garden when the never ending winter shifts to spring

Looks like a great space! Should help activate the street, as they say. Nice addition to our vibrant community.

How long before the beer garden is forced to close for construction of the Supersized St. Tickle Me Elmo?

Any news about the owner of Kapnos Kouzina?

The sign says coming soon... Are they actually open? What are their hours? Pretty sure their opening this weekend was a soft opening.

Those Roche brothers constantly do the longest soft openings and then blame any issues on that. Happy to charge full price though while they work out the kinks. See their latest moan-fest about the Post's review of their Tapa Bar

At least they are entrepreneurial and take risks, what do you do 12:39, other than run your mouth?

Can you imagine Robert Dyer trying to run a restaurant or nightspot? The staff would all quit within two days.

1:16 PM So says an anonymous man who has never met or even spoken to Dyer.
Get out from behind your screen for a bit!

  11. 1:42PM So says an anonymous person who makes a lot of assumptions, while also behind a screen.

1:54 PM I'm making no assumptions. Simply stating that someone who has never spoken to or even met Dyer is hardly an expert on the man.

How come the only people who ever defend Robert Dyer here, only do so anonymously?

Food was good...got the cheese enchilada. Manager woman was rude when questioned about being overcharged. Add-on prices for all items are not on menu, so they can charge what they want. As far as another bar, just what we need (more drunk fucks staggering, hollering and littering cigarette butts around Bethesda). I won't go back nor will I go to "pop-up Pho" or back to Bold Bite. At least at Cal-Tor they are nice and don't rip you off. #TacoARipoff

  15. 2:03PM - It's ALL assumptions!!! You are "simply stating" assumptions.

Will they have “Unfaithful”, “Almost There”, and “Fuzzy Pear" on their drink menu?

    Robert,

Thanks for the report. If a certain Bethesda "magazine" keep this up, I will stop looking at their site.
