Bethesda Curry Kitchen affected by power line damage

Bethesda Curry Kitchen was temporarily closed Sunday, due to a power line incident. A truck struck a power line on Cordell Avenue Friday, which the driver dragged until pedestrians were able to alert him.

It was unclear why a utility line would be low enough to be hit by a truck. A similar line was left dangling on Woodmont Avenue recently by the Marriott HQ construction site. That mishap was more of a risk to pedestrians than vehicles, however.

Actually it happened on Thursday, nearly four days ago. You can photos on local Facebook groups that were posted right after it happened.

    Not similar in the slightest.

Since you're reporting on that block of Cordell, have you heard if South Street Steaks is re-opening anytime soon?

I was wondering the same -- what's up with South Street Steaks?

It's just past 5:30 and Dyer's War On Free Speech has begun.

8:00: Everything I hear suggests South Street Steaks is permanently closed after the building was struck - not related to this power line issue. But no official announcement yet.

6:38: You think it's normal for utility lines to hang low enough to be hit by cars and pedestrians? All those "photos on local Facebook groups," and yet I'm the only media outlet to report it. The only one to report the other low line, too. Direct your ire at Montgomery County officials, who are allowing code violations by Pepco and Comcast utility lines.

What do you get paid for?

Imagine being such a paranoid narcissist that you imagine that people are being paid to post critical comments about you.

When was the last time Robert Dyer got paid...for anything?

  10. 8:29: Someone is most certainly paid to Astroturf comment on local sites to defend the MoCo political cartel, and attack people like me, who are exposing their crimes and failures.

9:24: All the time, dumbass. You know nothing of my finances, and you would have no way to know. Losers make anonymous troll comments on the websites of people who are actually in the arena, and getting things done.

So why don't you post your resume, then?

    ReplyDelete
  12. 9:57: It's been posted for more than a decade. And not inflated, unlike Hans Riemer's resume, where he has repeatedly claimed to have been Obama's Youth Vote Director for his 2008 victory, when he was actually out of that role in April 2008, long before Obama had even clinched the nomination and was still struggling against Hillary.

    No it hasn't.

10:28 PM You know more about Dyer than any local reporter you read. What else do you want?
