Bethesda construction update: Julii at Pike & Rose (Photos)

Here's a sneak peek at the progress inside Julii, the latest restaurant concept from the owners of CAVA coming to Rose Park at Pike & Rose. Wall and floor tiling is in place, as are lighting fixtures.

Please get out and vote today to end
our County's archaic government
liquor monopoly!

Robert, if you fail to be elected to the Montgomery County Council tonight, will you work together with the new members, and the new County Executive, to help implement your dream of being able to buy booze at every crappy convenience store and gas station in Westbard?

6:15am it'd be nice to be able to pick up a bottle of wine at the grocery store.

  2. @8:04 - That's a Maryland legislative issue, not one specific to Montgomery County. I don't know your district, but I am in 18, so I'll be writing Al Carr, Emily Shetty, and Jared Solomon to encourage them to review the current law and change the "single owner" rule currently on the books.

As for the County DLC, that affects restaurants more heavily than individual consumers, but it does negatively impact the variety of liquor County residents can purchase. I don't mind going to a liquor store to purchase hard liquor, but I do get annoyed seeing the variety available in Prince George's or DC that we just don't get here.

  5. 10:44: Yep, the numbers suggest massive voter fraud, but I need to analyze all the final data when its counted and posted first to fully comment. Remember, the police busted up a driver's license mill the week before the election. How many registered to vote using those licenses and other similarly-produced fraud documents?

8:42: Suze, there's no difference between changing that law, or the law the County got changed about growlers, for example. It only requires the Council to make the request in Annapolis. All liquor law changes must be made at the state level, but this Council isn't asking for them.

Well, it looks like you'll enjoy another four years of buying liquor from the County only!

"Yep, the numbers suggest massive voter fraud"

These repeated desperate remarks from the likes of Republicans like you would be funny if they weren't so dangerous to democracy. Screw you, Robert. Screw you.

150,000+ fraudulent votes in a county of 1,000,000 million?

C'mon, Dyer. Accept reality and move on.

That's not how bills are introduced in Annapolis.

“Remember, the police busted up a driver's license mill the week before the election.”

Hmm, yes. Very suspicious in the context of Maryland’s requirement that all voters produce a driver’s license in order to vote.

What’s that? It’s NOT a requirement? Oh! Well then I guess the “driver’s license mill” had nothing to do with trying to defraud you of 150,000 votes.

You got bodyslammed through the electoral coffee table, Robert. Accept it and move on.

“Remember, the police busted up a driver's license mill the week before the election.”

That operation produced approximately 40 fake driver's licence.

    That still leaves 149,960 votes.

But congrats on getting the most votes of the Republicans at-larges. It's a win for you in a heavily Democratic county.

Any and all voting irregularities should be investigated!

    ReplyDelete
  15. 4:48/6:56: Are you really that stupid? I would think the MoCo cartel would send someone who actually is informed on how voter registration works to defend their corruption.

Reality check: Voter registration occurs, among other places, at the MVA, when you acquire or renew a.......driver's license.

Of course you're not asked for ID when you vote. The illegal voter has already registered illegally through MVA using the falsified documents.

No wonder the number of graves in the cemetery precincts magically doubled in only four years for the cartel Council At-large candidates.

8:07: They will be. I await the precinct and turnout-by-party numbers to do a full fraud analysis for anomalies. I've seen them in 2010 and 2014, but this one initially appears to be over-the-top. The numbers don't add up for me or Amatetti. I'm not necessarily claiming I would have won without the fraud - the colluding Post with no coverage of the Council races made it impossible to change the narrative - but that the numbers are clearly skewed lower than they should be for Ed and I, and ridiculously inflated for the cartel winners.

Let's have a full investigation, including the apparent collusion between the cartel and the Post.

    ReplyDelete
  16. 3:39: Not to mention the collusion between the cartel and community organizations to cancel their traditional general election debates.

Hey there Bobby Boy! While you're performing your oh so rigorous investigation, why don't you don't you stop by McDonalds and review some of the new stuff on their menu? I heard there's some great new breakfast items! At least you'll find some meager success with your reviews on cringe forums and compilations, unlike this pitiful excuse of an "investigation"

  19. 2:53: Fake driver's licenses used to register to vote. Illegal voters using names of dead and nonresidents still on the rolls. Voting machine results that don't add up. Three precincts not counted over 48 hours after the election. Collusion with the Washington Post to not cover the Council races.

    "No measurable fraud." LOL!

Can you document any of your claims?

Do you realize that the "three precincts not counted over 48 hours after the election" means that they are counting absentee ballots?

    ReplyDelete
  21. 9:37: I've already documented several. Absentee ballots are not "precincts;" they are counted countywide as a whole in several rounds. Through 2018 primary, election results have always shown 100% of precincts counted by sometime the next day after the election.

"Now you're saying, go into the next room, and bring me MORE VOTES."

    ReplyDelete
  22. Provisional ballots can take longer. Provisional ballots still matter in elections. They are counted on the second Wednesday after each election even if it does not affect the outcome.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 4:38: That is very true, but again, provisional ballots are not "precincts." They are counted countywide.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Why would you object to having all the votes counted? That's what elections are all about...counting all the votes....
And not being deterred by those who spout baseless conspiracy theories.
