Utility work continues in Woodmont Triangle (Video + Photos)

Lane closures and nighttime noise continue as the WSSC replaces its outdated water mains around the Woodmont Triangle neighborhood of downtown Bethesda. Last night, they were on Cordell Avenue and Woodmont Avenue.

Love these men at work photo galleries. Should satisfy Dyer's reader that likes the construction worker in the Village People as well!

Thank you Robert for you consistant reporting on local events and the corruption of the County Council. I've contacted the IRS and asked that they audit the council.

The county employee who embezzled millions was pretty funny too. Hilarious!

11:41 AM - What's really hilarious is that Robert Dyer's mad investigative skilz had nothing to do with him being busted.

Also, Robbie got a tip of the hat over at BB today.

But he also got bigly scooped re 850 Sligo Avenue.

1:37 AM - How are you not already aware that the Bang case is being tried in federal court?

  9. 5:45: LOL - I reported on the 850 Sligo Avenue development in March. Seven months ago, moron.

Bang is in court (but mysteriously out on bail), but none of his potential accomplices are.

2:57: What's really hilarious is that it was the IRS, not the Washington Post, that exposed the $7 million embezzlement.

  10. What's wrong with a government agency, investigating suspicious activity, finding it before the Washington Post did?

Mysteriously out on bail? He pleaded guilty, so no trial, and I believe it's supervised release pending sentencing for both Federal and state crimes. Something not unusual for white collar crimes.

"Bang is in court (but mysteriously out on bail), but none of his potential accomplices are."

And who might these people be? You really, desperately, want it to be Hans Riemer, don't you?

  12. 4:22: You mean like Paul Manafort? White collar crimes? Think about it.

4:56: I wouldn't be surprised, but let's have the FBI do a professional investigation and go where the facts lead us.

  13. You really are dense about crime and punishment.
Manafort is a just little teensy bit different...as in a completely unequal type of crime, and if you remember, was given bail with ankle monitors until he LIED to investigators. Sheesh.

  14. 6:54: All were white collar crimes. No different. Manafort's supposed financial crimes were private, or tax evasion. Bang took money directly from taxpayers, yet he's a free man.

    "Manafort's supposed financial crimes"

Really? Is that because he is Republican, or because he is white? Or both?

Have you been banned in Gaithersburg? Sam Eig has been dead for as long as the man himself now. There's a lot of non-moribund action in that city that you're ignoring. The latest being the grand opening of the newest dining and nightlife (your favorite activity) spot Yard House. What no freebies for you Scary Moochie?

11:18 AM No offense, but Yard House is kind of ho-hum. It's another location of a chain that is already in the DC area.

I guess it'll fill the beer and football on TV niche at Rio and will certainly be better than Union Jacks.
