Hookah lounge coming to downtown Bethesda
Hookah lounges may not just be for Rockville anymore. I've learned one is going to open in the former Wiggle Room store space, at 4924 Del Ray Avenue in downtown Bethesda. Will the flavored-tobacco pastime find new life as more young people than ever are joining the Juul e-cigarette cult, or is it now outmoded by having similar flavors in your own pocket device?
Fail immediately. May be the dumbest (and there are many) idea I've ever seen in this area. Bethesda is about the worst location for this stupid concept that no one partakes in than I can think of. Greenwich Village maybe.
ReplyDeleteGreat. More of our young people addicted to nicotine, after decades of decline.
ReplyDeleteThanks for nothing, Greenhill. Isn't this at least the third vaping/marijuana place you've rented to in the past year?
Another photo with lush green trees.
ReplyDeleteIf they can tap into that je-ne-c'est-quoi ambience thing, they might do ok. But even with the ones that start off well, there's a boredom that kicks in, so they'll need to keep upping their "experience" game.
ReplyDelete"Ambience? If it's a new Italian designer, then Shoe Town already has it."
ReplyDelete7:26 AM - Exactly my thoughts a year ago and am now still wrong. Just checkout 1 Dawson Avenue Rockville (of all places) still going strong, even with an after-hours type atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind using my pocket device there depending on the crowd....
