Montgomery County firm announces mass layoffs as MoCo economy continues to collapse

Centerra Group, LLC, a government safety and security contractor located at 11555 Rockville Pike, has informed the state of Maryland it will conduct mass layoffs of its employees March 31, 2019. The firm filed a WARN notice with the state regarding the layoffs yesterday.

Eighty-seven employees are slated to lose their jobs, according to the notice filing. This is another blow to the anemic job activity in the White Flint area, which was capped off by the humiliating loss in the Amazon HQ2 sweepstakes. Montgomery County's economy grows more moribund with each passing hour, yet our County Council hasn't taken a single action to address the economic development crisis in the first two months of its term. Heckuva job, Brownie!

    That's 0.00087% of the County's population.

Looks like they are caught up in a major corruption scandal - kickbacks relating to a project to clean up the Hanford nuclear reactor site.

Umm..that’s the US NRC Building. .Pretty sure this is just the Nuclear Regulatory Commission awarding their security contract to a new contractor. Not an actual net loss of jobs. Happens every few years

Montgomery County and Maryland are dying because the number of illegals and MS13 home invasions, car thefts and our taxes being siphoned to pay all of Central America offspring educations and healthcare
Maryland politicians care more about illegals

My mother was run over by an illegal without drivers license or insurance

The angel mom husband at wh today had a husband killed by an illegal
    Ms13 taken over Gaithersburg

  5. It is disturbing to observe Mr. Dyer's delight in reporting bad news.

  6. 4:08: I do have some pride in the fact that I'm operating the only news outlet that actually reports the true bad news of moribund Montgomery County under the corrupt and incompetent MoCo Cartel.

  7. Last year lettuce killed more Americans than illegal immigrants.

  8. 9:40: False. There aren't even credible statistics on illegal immigrant crime because sanctuary jurisdictions don't even track who is illegal, and much of the data is self-reported by sources illegals are unlikely to be honest with.

  9. Well, you are correct. My statement should have read:

"Last year foods, including lettuce, killed more Americans than illegal immigrants.

I still don't agree with the rest of your mumbo-jumbo. Especially considering the majority of illegals in this country have simply overstayed their visas.

  10. 7:29: You have up-to-date official records on each and every individual who has illegally entered the country by any method? LOL Congratulations, you are the only person in America who does. Meanwhile, back to the real world where we don't actually know how many illegal immigrants are in America because...they didn't fill out paperwork when they arrived in many cases.

Wow, Dyer. You really love showing the world just how big a moron you are.

You don't have to know about "each and every individual who has illegally entered the country by any method", to know the immigration status of those who have been arrested for homicide.

  12. Americans killed more Americans than illegal immigrants did.

FACT: All illegal aliens entering Maryland, do so from Virginia.

  14. 9:07: Montgomery County and many other sanctuary jurisdictions do not examine immigration status. Therefore, you would have no way to obtain accurate numbers. MoCo doesn't even cooperate with ICE on detainers, much less look into these things themselves.
