Cinnabon to return to Montgomery Mall

Westfield will attempt to restore balance to The Force by welcoming Cinnabon back to Montgomery Mall this spring. There are certain tenants any self-respecting mall simply must have, and Cinnabon is near the top - if not at the top - of the list.

Since Cinnabon left the mall some years back, one has had to turn to the unlikeliest of sources to get even a hint of the famous cinnamon roll flavor. Pale imitations can be found in Cinnabon licensed products ranging from Cream of Wheat to coffee creamer. Somewhat closer are the popular Cinnabon Melts at Taco Bell, or the pre-packaged Cinnabon-knockoffs in the bakery aisle.

But it's not the true mall experience of following that famous aroma to the Cinnabon kiosk, and enjoying the world's most famous cinnamon roll fresh and hot. Now if we can just get Sbarro back.

the "mall" updates are the oddest part of this blog. I mean...it's a cinnabon...at...the...mall.

And in Rockville Town Square, too. A place that opened with much fanfare a year and a half ago.

    And Congressional Plaza, too.

Dyer has inspired a generation of blogging mall walkers. Local county media is in the A.D. era, "After Dyer". Remember before Dyer- no coverage of retail/restaurants in the county other than the random restaurant review in the Post or Gazette :)

Can you find anyone other than yourself who believes that you "pioneered hyperlocal news in Montgomery County"? Anonymous comments on your own blog don't count.

  12. 4:50: LOL - It's not opinion, it's fact. Name another daily Bethesda - or Montgomery County - hyperlocal news website publishing before mine.

You can't. It didn't exist until I pioneered it.

    You're delusional.

  14. 5:12: Thanks for proving my point - you could not name a site before mine. I am the pioneer of hyperlocal news in MoCo. Just because the Post and Washingtonian intentionally won't report something, doesn't mean it is false. You got served.

Cash me ousside - how bou dat?

  15. The long-term impact of hyperlocal journalism remains to be seen. Most operate on shoestring budgets and make little money(most revenue comes from sales of ads to local businesses that can't afford to advertise with larger MSM outlets.)

Well, of course there was the Gazette.

  16. Cinnabon Rolls is now one of the world’s most-recognized and sought-after brands. You’ll find it where you shop, travel, dine and play. In fact, you can even find it on grocery store shelves to enjoy our bakery inspired cinnamon rolls right in your own home. And the best news is Cinnabon is just getting started.
