Wow Cow closes, Sarah's Handmade Ice Cream & Treats to take over
The Westbard area hasn't had a firing-on-all-cylinders ice cream store since the Westwood Shopping Center lost Baskin Robbins several decades ago. Perhaps Sarah's Handmade Ice Cream & Treats can fill the vacuum. The shop will be opening in the space vacated by Wow Cow at 5241 River Road, in the Kenwood Station (Whole Foods) shopping center. They are now hiring.

ReplyDeleteThis just sounds dumb.
Bring back Gifford's
ReplyDeleteThis is just a pop-up NTL more than 18 months at best. Who would want to invest in a location that will soon be demolished for the better of the community? Someone in this rich county has money to burn, or the MoCo cartel is funding the start-up for cosmetic purposes right BOB????
ReplyDeleteI love ice cream news!
ReplyDelete5:42: Just like you - you should have loved it, then.
ReplyDelete6:58: That property isn't redeveloping anytime soon. The Council decided to hold off on the River Road rezoning until the Purple Line extension they plan in the future.

It's SO much better already -- clean interior, friendly owner, and even the ice cream tastes amazing. They said they'll have their own machines ready to churn in 2 weeks!
