The long-vacant Community diner spot at 7776 Norfolk Avenue in Bethesda finally has a tenant. Anthony's Coal-Fired Pizza has signed a lease for the space. Construction is underway inside.
Anthony's is a national chain with 60 locations, most in the northeast. Besides pizza, they are known for wings and Eggplant Marino, named after famed quarterback Dan Marino.
Glad this space is finally getting a tenant. And yes, the greatest QB ever to play the game is an investor in ACFP. Maybe I'll go and destroy some eating records.
ReplyDeleteI am jacked up about this! This is exactly what Bethesda needs!
ReplyDeleteIsn't Pizza DiMarco a block away? I have never been there, but it's been around a while so assuming it's well-liked.
ReplyDeleteGreat addition to the Woodmont Triangle.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this! Now, let's get something good across at the old blackfinn space.
Did they not see the news that no Regal replacement will be opening. How could they be so daring to open up a restaurant. Dyer, you must investigate to maintain your edge over the unprofitable Post. Don’t let Bezos get one up on you. Certainly, you have a much greater Palette than Sietsema to know where to find good vittles.
ReplyDeleteIs it true that human existence will be completely wiped out from the earth if Bethesda does not get a new multiplex movie theater?!
ReplyDelete1:27pm has jokes
ReplyDeleteSeems like everyday I get up and Robert Dyer is breaking news on a new restaurant.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
3:09 PM No boost until we get the new Barwood cab stands Glass and Reimer recommended!
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, I'll enjoy the pizza!
#Mallwalkers finally getting around to reporting this?
ReplyDelete3:32 PM I've never used a taxi stand to reserve an Uber. Fill us in on how it would benefit me over just saying I'm at Rock Bottom, Tia Queta, etc.
ReplyDeleteSCCCCOOOOOPPPPPPPPEEEEEDDDDDDD.......
ReplyDelete9:44: Yes, I did scoop everyone on this. You're welcome.
ReplyDelete3:53: You are correct in suggesting that the disastrous Nighttime Economy Task Force was indeed referring to Barwood taxis when making their headscratching recommendation of more taxi stands. Uber, Lyft, etc. are not only not taxis (only far-left ideologues make the error of referring to these ride-sharing services as such - in reality, they cannot be hailed on the street like taxis), but they are summoned more efficiently via app.
Barwood ended up going bankrupt (despite the Council forcing taxpayers and Uber riders to subsidize their failing business model), and 16 nightspots went out of business, after the task force finished its "work."
Heckuva job, Brownie!
Clean coal pizza.
ReplyDelete8:46am What have you been smoking? Marino couldn't carry Brady's lunch. Peyton Manning could even school him.
ReplyDelete3:52AM , lmao
ReplyDeleteNever been to this chain. "If" they can honestly prepare a real coal fired pizza well, I'm in.
BB had it first. You deleted my comment saying about as much. Sore Ioser.
ReplyDelete6:13: LOL - "BB" plagiarized it from me, and didn't give me credit for reporting it first. You've got real mental problems, beta male.
ReplyDeleteWhat's important, which neither you nor BB gave reported, is whether they plan to use a real coal oven. In Socialist Republic of Moco, is that even allowed? Please find out about their oven.
ReplyDelete7:11: They say they use an "800-degree coal-fired oven," and that everything hot is cooked in that oven, not just the pizza.
ReplyDeleteSo then coal isn't illegal in MoCo? Good to know.
ReplyDelete"You've got real mental problems, beta male."
ReplyDeleteLOL
Bethesda Magazine took a minute away from "The Bachelorette" and "Rich Housewives of Potomac" recaps to plagiarize Robert Dyer's story about a new restaurant.
ReplyDeleteThe scoop was that everyone received the same pr materials. Free advertising. Pretty smart. Dyer and others fell for it.
ReplyDelete5:44: There were no "PR materials." I broke the story, and others plagiarized without citing me as the source. There was no sign out front or announcement. My article was seen, and was the source for the other articles that plagiarized it.
ReplyDeleteB O O M
Any idea on when it will open! Still looks pretty vacant in there
ReplyDelete5:02: They're still pulling the permits they need to even begin to construct, so I would guess winter at this point.
