The signs are up at the future Fogo de Chão Brazilian steakhouse at Pike & Rose. Work continues on the interior of the space at 11600 Old Georgetown Road, which was previously the Nike Factory Store and City Sports.
While the churrascaria fad hit the District and other major cities a number of years back, Fogo de Chão's arrival here caps off Pike & Rose's status as having arguably the best set of dining options at a single development in the county. Del Frisco's Grille, City Perch, Kusshi, Owen's Ordinary, Nada, JINYA Ramen Bar, Baked Bear, Summer House, Stella Barra, and a future Asian dining hall are just some of the top-rated options on-site.
SIGNS!!
ReplyDelete"Pike & Rose's status as having arguably the best set of dining options at a single development in the county."
ReplyDeleteToo bad they've let Bethesda Row and Rockville Town Square founder.
"they've" s/b "...Federal Realty has..."
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Roald looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteThose signs have LITERALLY been up for at least a few months... I drive by there everyday and they've been up a while. Thanks for the breaking news!
ReplyDeleteThe vertical signs have not been up "for months". Wish the troll wouldn't lie about something like signs..lol
ReplyDeleteGet some perspective man.

ReplyDelete#PantsChange for 7:16am already
Deletei'll repeat my last comment which robert took down for no reason whatsoever. i drive by this site every day and they have been up for at least six weeks. not sure why robert feels so inferior and has to delete posts that simply disagree with him. it is sad. it is a poor example of journalism.
ReplyDeleteMoCo sign experts weighing in now...
ReplyDeleteI'm not lying, Dyer, you nimrod. They've been up a while. Months? Maybe not. Weeks or close to a month? 100% true. Nice try calling me out, Nimrod!!
ReplyDelete7:58: It was less than "weeks" since I was there, and there were no Fogo de Chao signs. I understand your frustration that I broke the story, and so many others. By the way, who uses "Nimrod" as an insult, anyway? Sorry, chump, these signs just went up. Only someone being paid to troll would even find it worth arguing about. Collect your pizza money from the MoCo cartel, "ya big baby."
ReplyDeleteI sincerely hope Mr. Dyer's trolls are being paid by the comment.
ReplyDeleteI sincerely hope "Tom Andrews" will have something to say about the actual subject of this article, which is Fogo de Chao at Pike & Rose in North Bethesda.
ReplyDeleterobert, why do you keep taking down comments? they are valid and add information that you neglected to include in your "article." specifically, it was excellent information on permitting. just admit you missed this...no harm, no foul. it makes you look childish and very, very insecure when you keep taking down comments. not a good look. one may even say it is....well...sad!
ReplyDelete10:04: I've removed any comment that violates the comment policies, including ones making the false claim that these signs were installed months ago. That's totally false, and you are apparently a pathological liar. The false claim that the signs were installed in late March - total baloney. I've been to Pike & Rose several times since the end of March, and no signs were up at Fogo de Chao. It's something I was checking each time I was there.
ReplyDeleteHow can I "miss this," when I'm the first person to report it?
You've made a total fool of yourself, just like your bosses on the Council.
3:54 PM Can't you just enjoy Dyer's content? It's free and he's not even harassing readers to give him "donations" like several other local blogs and magazines.
ReplyDelete7:43 AM I posted the date of the permit issued by the MoCo DEP which was 02/21/19 and the sign was installed 03/28/19,BUT apparently the hall monitor here (Dyer) deleted this factual posting, since it went against his alternative facts.
ReplyDeleteMy fat brother in law will be putting them out of business. Always flip that coaster to green. This place is a gluttons dream. Good luck getting your ring off your finger after eating there. There's so much salt in that food that Marc Elrich could save major bucks on snow treatment next winter.
ReplyDeleteIf you're sticking Del Frisco's Grille in there as a good restaurant, I'll skip all of them.
ReplyDeleteWas the worst steak I ever had, and service was miserable.
Del Frisco is horrible no surprise on your steak
