Weichert Realtors to take over retail space at Landow Building in Bethesda
The Landow Building, the landmark office tower at the corner of Woodmont and St. Elmo Avenues, has finally signed a tenant for the vacant Tone on Tone corner retail space. Weichert Realtors will take over the spot at 7920 Woodmont Avenue.
These realtors are currently located in the JBG Smith 7200 Wisconsin building at Bethesda Avenue. I guess this means they move to the Landow Building and the large space in 7200 might become a nice new restaurant facing the new plaza, currently under construction. This would reinforce the proposed Bethesda Market proposal, and help activate the block that will soon include a new Bethesda Red Line Metro entrance, the new Bethesda Purple Line Station and the CCT, both a a tunnel and as a surface route.
Good to see the Landow get a new tenant, but a potential restaurant facing the new plaza sounds even better.
Great that they found a tenant but bad for activation of the street. Oh well.
