There's a very interesting bit of construction going on outside of the future Serena & Lily on Bethesda Lane. A gate has been erected several feet in front of the storefront itself. Over the gate is a pillared canopy. This would certainly be the most unique storefront design at Bethesda Row.
Based on their branding, I think they are trying to emulate a garden gate. I bet they connect the two gates with a series of plants in pots to create a bit of a hedgerow. They use this garden fence and gate design motif on their website. The merchandise looks very beachy Bohemian to me. Almost like Anthropology and Urban Country got together and had a love child. Much of their product seems tailored for local residents who also have a beach cottages on the Eastern Shore, Most of their current stores are in costal towns.
