Glad to see that CHIKO is so successful! Really happy for them. At this rate, they should take over "The Riggsby" space and build something else there. It's creepy walking past that vacant space.

Robert: Have you heard any rumors about what's happening (or not happening) with "The Riggsby"? Michael Schlow's PRIMA already went down the tubes and got replaced by the successful CHIKO, so perhaps "The Riggsby" (another Michael Schlow venture) is doomed as well?

  2. 9:11: CHIKO is a great product that is well-suited to the current takeout/delivery trend. I've been watching The Riggsby closely. There has been some kind of work being done inside, but nothing at all changed from the old Mike Isabella interior yet. The only visible change so far is "The Riggsby" stenciled onto the glass outside.

@10:43 AM: Robert - Do you think you'd be able to get anyone from The Riggsby on the record about this? I think the site/project is dead in the water. It looks like an eyesore.

Also, what's happening with the old Safeway space on Old Georgetown Avenue? Haven't heard about that in a while. Is anyone looking at it?

What about the old Gusto space? Any interest rumors you've been hearing?

Correcting my 5:48 AM post: My goodness.... I need more sleep. "Old Georgetown Road". I have no idea where "Avenue" came from.
