Here's a look at the progress at the future Amazon Fresh grocery store at the Collection at Chevy Chase in Friendship Heights. The store has still not been publicly acknowledged by Amazon, much less an opening date announced. Construction fencing remains around the store at an unusually wide distance to keep people away. Another Amazon Fresh store is currently under construction in Gaithersburg.
Am I wrong, or are they creating a new second entrance to the grocery store facing Wisconsin Circle? It seems like a good idea to have a more visible entrance to the market, even if it is primarily for shoppers who walk there and are not using a cart to take groceries to their car using the primary entrance on the rear facing the parking lot. A much more urban idea to have such a pedestrian focused entrance.
