The Seasons ground floor renovation project (Photos)

The Seasons
, the apartment tower at 4710 Bethesda Avenue, is just one of the jewels in the crown of the Nathan Landow real estate empire. It has a more traditional urban design than his other Bethesda residential buildings Crescent Plaza, Fairmont Plaza, and The Promenade, which have more of a resort hotel aesthetic. That design has been getting an update on the ground level, via a massive renovation project that has been ongoing since last year. And it's still not finished! Here is a chronological look with photos taken over the course of the project:

I suppose it’s nice that they cleaned up the storefronts a bit, adding new aluminum framing, doors and windows and rebuilt the planters. The front entrance canopy is a nice improvement. Its’s too bad the new storefronts are so generic, identical and quite boring. Most cool looking storefronts in Bethesda Row are unique. This “strip center” style line of identical storefront seems dated even though it is brand new. Perhaps the signage will help.
